The Bullet XV is a custom designed & built overland expedition vehicle capable of covering any terrain. Vehicle amenities include a three point pivoting suspension frame to allow the camper box to ‘float’ independently of any vehicle frame twist while off-roading, recovery winches front & rear, on-board air compressor for tire re-inflation, 52 gallon fuel tank plus two 5 gallon jerry cans for almost a thousand miles between fill-ups, video cameras front & rear for clearance & reverse views, outside clean & dirty storage for supplies & firewood, two side mounted bridging ramps for bridging crevices & for sand or mud recovery, a hydraulic roof lifting system to lower the roof, center of gravity, & wind resistance while driving, two navigation systems (one hand-held, one dash-mounted), & automatic steps. Interior amenities include a queen size bed, two dog beds, two dressers, full kitchen, teak & stainless cabinets, coat closet, shoe & boot drawer, fully upholstered coffer ceiling with indirect lighting, & an outdoor shower.
Construction, also solely by me, took place nights & weekends over a period of two & a half years, & was tested significantly during the summer/fall 2011, during a two month, 12,000 mile trip across Canada & USA.
